

Bashkir farmers have threshed over 270,000 hectares of sunflowers, yielding over 500,000 tons of oilseeds, according to the Bashkir Ministry of Agriculture.
Farmers still have one-third of the area under this key oilseed crop to harvest. This year's average yield is 18.5 centners per hectare, 6% higher than in 2024.
"In total, almost 820,000 tons of oilseeds were harvested in Bashkortostan. In addition to sunflowers, farmers harvested 131,000 tons of rapeseed, almost 91,000 tons of flax, and over 84,000 tons of soybeans and other crops," the regional Ministry of Agriculture reported.
The best gross harvest of oilseeds, as well as grain crops, was recorded in the Sterlitamak District—75,600 tons. Farms in the Meleuzovsky and Aurgazinsky districts of Bashkortostan also harvested over 50,000 tons of oilseeds.
