The National Bank of Bashkortostan released September inflation data. Among non-food items, prices for detergents and cleaning products have fallen the most (-3.3% year-on-year). This is due to a decline in retail demand as consumers switch to marketplaces.
Electronics and appliances have fallen in price by 2% year-on-year, passenger cars by 1.7%, and communications equipment by 8.5%.
Motor fuel prices continued to rise (1.3% month-on-month, 10.7% year-on-year). Experts explain that unscheduled repairs at several oil refineries across the country have reduced gasoline supply on the domestic market. Furthermore, demand for diesel fuel increases during the harvest season. These factors have led to the rise in wholesale and retail prices for all types of motor fuel. Since September 2024, gasoline prices have increased by 11%, and diesel fuel prices by 7.9%.
After a slight decline in August, medical supplies prices have risen again (1.5% month-on-month and 10.3% year-on-year).
