Pensions will be indexed on January 1, 2026
The Russian Ministry of Labor and Social Protection announced this.
According to the ministry, a total of almost 13 trillion rubles will be allocated for pension payments.
"As was the case last year, a decision was made to index pensions early: not on February 1, based on actual inflation, or on April 1, based on Social Fund revenues, but immediately on January 1, above inflation. Thus, the indexation of insurance pensions will be 7.6%, resulting in the average old-age insurance pension increasing by almost 2,000 rubles to 27,100 rubles," the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection stated.
