The law governing the self-employed will not be revised until the end of 2028, when the 10-year trial period for the tax regime is set to expire. Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov announced during "Government Hour" in the Federation Council.
Earlier, speaking at a meeting of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy, the minister called for a comprehensive adjustment of the regime for the self-employed—but only after the trial period has concluded.
Currently, 14.3 million self-employed individuals are registered in Russia. Of these, 309,500 are registered in Bashkortostan. The number of self-employed individuals in the republic has increased by 17.7% since the beginning of the year. As a reminder, self-employed individuals currently pay a preferential tax rate on their income from independent work: 4% for individuals and 6% for legal entities.
