Tourists paid 8.8 billion rubles for vacations in Bashkiria in 6 months

For January - June of this year, hotels and accommodation facilities in Bashkiria provided services worth 8.8 billion rubles with an annual growth of 15%. This is almost 83% of the total volume of services of tourism enterprises. Prime Minister Andrey Nazarov announced this at a meeting in the Cabinet of Ministers.

The head of the government recalled that by September 1, hotels, sanatoriums, recreation centers, campsites, and other accommodation facilities are required to undergo the classification procedure.

As explained by the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Tourism, the reform will create equal conditions for market participants and increase tourists' confidence in the quality of services provided.

The head of the department, Svetlana Vereshchagina, warned that after September 1, accommodation facilities that have not passed the self-assessment will be suspended from the register and will not be able to sell their services on the websites of booking aggregators.

"An entry in the register is becoming the most important attribute of a place of accommodation and confirmation of the legality of a business," the minister commented.
