Park sculptures in Ufa will be carved from overmature poplars

Five trees were cut down in the city forest on the Southern Bypass of Ufa. The head of the improvement department, Arsen Latypov reported this. Two trees were affected by heart rot, and they were taken away for disposal. The trunks of three poplars turned out to be suitable for use - 13 three-meter logs of large diameter were obtained from them. This material will be provided to the participants of the Ufa city professional forum of wood sculptors "Formula of bending", which will be held from September 1 to 15. It is expected that their products will decorate the paths of the "Ufa Necklace".

"The foresters of Gorzelenkhoz did dangerous, difficult, and at the same time delicate work," said Arsen Latypov. - The cramped conditions required great precision when working with a hydraulic lift. The trunks were first cleared of branches, after which the remaining "candle" was successively cut into pieces." Sanitary felling is also carried out in the green zone on Mendeleyev Street and other locations in Ufa.
