Ufa received 5 more trolleybuses with autonomous running

Ufa received 5 new "Gorodzhanin" trolleybuses assembled by the Ufa Tram and Trolleybus Plant. The manufacturer of this type of public transport reported this.

It is specified that the autonomous running of the new trolleybuses is 20 kilometers, thanks to which the transport will become more mobile and independent of the contact network. Passenger capacity reaches 90 people, including comfortable seats for 33 passengers. Modern air conditioning systems provide a comfortable microclimate inside the cabin regardless of the weather outside.

This spring, Ufa Mayor Ratmir Mavliev visited the Ufa Tram and Trolleybus Plant, where a decision was made to purchase 15 more new modern trolleybuses with increased autonomous running. Delivery of 10 of them is planned for August 2025, and the remaining 5 are scheduled for the beginning of 2026.

"The equipment has proven itself well, thanks to the comprehensive work; the rolling stock has already been updated by 40%. We pay special attention to staffing. We have almost doubled the salaries of trolleybus and tram drivers. We also see great potential in the so-called accordion trolleybuses. After the certification procedure, we will look for funds to purchase them," said Ratmir Mavliev.
