In the first half of the year, the share of mortgage sales decreased to 63% (from 76% in the first half of 2024), and the share of installments increased to 37% (from 24% in the first half of 2024), according to Dom.rf.
In July, only 77 thousand mortgages were issued in the country for 358 billion rubles (issuance - 28% compared to July 2024).
Of these, 50 thousand preferential mortgages for 291 billion rubles. The growth in issuance was 87% and almost twice as much in monetary terms (+91%).
Of these, 44 thousand loans for 253 billion rubles were issued for family mortgages - more than a twofold increase from July 2024 (issuance +219%, volume +232%). The almost zero issuance explains such dynamics in July 2024, analysts note.
In January-June 2025, Russian developers commissioned 52.2 million square meters of housing (-2% compared to the first half of 2024). At the same time, individual construction decreased by 2% to 37.3 million square meters, and apartment buildings by 4% to 14.9 million square meters.
In the first half of the year, construction of 21.2 million square meters (-19%) was launched, and in July, construction began on another 3.5 million square meters. In total, the volume of housing under construction now amounts to 118.4 million square meters.
