During the first ten days of the harvesting season in Bashkiria, about 10% of the sown area of grain and leguminous crops was mown, and more than 550 thousand tons of grain were threshed. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Bashkiria, Ilshat Fazrakhmanov, at an operational meeting of the government. So far, farmers are harvesting winter rye and wheat, barley, and peas. Harvesting of spring grains will begin in 1.5-2 weeks, said the head of the Bashkir agro-industrial complex.
A record average yield of 40.1 c/ha is noted. Moreover, the highest 60 c/ha was recorded in the Nurimanov district.
A total of 2.67 million hectares are to be harvested (the same as last year). Of these, 1.4 million hectares are grain and leguminous crops, and 690 thousand hectares are industrial crops.
34 elevators and warehouses in the region are ready to receive the harvest, which can accommodate about 4 million tons of grain and oilseeds.
