Russian Ministry of Labor has proposed increasing minimum wage by 20%

In this case, the minimum wage will be 27 thousand rubles.

The Russian Ministry of Labor has published a bill proposing to set the minimum wage in 2026 at 27,093 rubles, with an increase of 20.7% - above inflation. The calculation is based on the ratio of the minimum wage to the median salary (not less than 48% of it for the past year).

Currently, the minimum wage is 22,440 rubles and directly affects 4.6 million Russians, the ministry noted.

In Bashkiria, the minimum wage is currently 25,806 rubles, taking into account the regional coefficient (15%).

In total, the minimum wage has been increased 26 times since 2000.
