Bashkiria has almost doubled grain sales to Russian regions

The Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for Bashkiria issued 5,418 quarantine certificates for more than 270.5 thousand tons of grain and its processed products prepared by the region's farmers for sale to other constituent entities of Russia in the first half of 2025.

"The volume of grain and its processed products shipped to the domestic market in the first six months of this year is more than 1.65 times higher than the data for the same period in 2024. The geography of grain supplies from Bashkiria has also expanded from 16 to 28 regions," the supervisory agency noted.

The regions where Bashkir products were delivered include Krasnodar, Perm, Stavropol Krais, Belgorod, Leningrad, Lipetsk, Kursk, Moscow, Orenburg, Pskov, Saratov, Rostov, Tambov, Tver, Chelyabinsk, Yaroslavl Regions, Adygea, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karelia, Tatarstan, Udmurtia. In total, more than 172 thousand tons of wheat, 60 thousand tons of barley, almost 8 thousand tons of peas, about 6.5 thousand tons of rye, 14 thousand tons of sunflower seeds for processing, more than 1 thousand tons of flax, as well as 0.39 thousand tons of various cereals have been shipped from Bashkiria to other regions since the beginning of the year. All 2722 batches have been tested in the Bashkir testing laboratory. According to the results of the examinations, dangerous quarantine organisms and pests of grain reserves were not detected. Grain and its processed products comply with the phytosanitary safety requirements of GOST and the EAEU, Rosselkhoznadzor emphasized.
