In the first six months of 2025, the largest oil extraction enterprises in Bashkiria exported 8,600 tons of unrefined sunflower oil to China. According to the regional office of Rosselkhoznadzor, no sunflower oil had been shipped from Bashkiria to China in the previous year.
“The processing of sunflower seeds into vegetable oil, as outlined in the agreement with the Chinese side, was subject to full production control — from the field to the final product,” the regulatory agency emphasized.
Samples taken from 391 specialized railway flexitanks underwent a full set of tests at the Bashkir Testing Laboratory, which operates under Rosselkhoznadzor, as required by the General Administration of Customs of China.
No harmful organisms were detected in the analysis. The sunflower oil from Bashkiria fully meets the import requirements of China.
This development supports the national goal of “Decent and productive labor and successful entrepreneurship,” as part of the International Cooperation and Export national project. Its objective is to achieve at least a 70% increase in the export of non-resource, non-energy goods by 2030 compared to 2020 levels, as previously reported by Bashinform.
