Starting July, utility rates in Ufa increased by average of 13%

As part of a nationwide decision made by federal authorities in 2023 to support utility and service providers, utility tariffs across Russia were raised from July 1. Each region was assigned a maximum allowable increase, with Bashkortostan's cap set at 16.7%. In the republic, the new rates include a 13.7% increase for water supply, 14.1% for wastewater disposal, 16.1% for heating, 12.6% for electricity, 10.3% for gas, and 11.8% for waste removal.

Citizens eligible for social benefits—such as large families, combat veterans, people with disabilities, families with children with disabilities, and those affected by radiation or industrial disasters—may qualify for partial reimbursement of utility expenses if these costs exceed 13–20% of household income.

Authorities explain that the adjustment is necessary to help utility providers fund routine and capital repairs, as well as maintain salaries for employees.
