Unemployment rate in Bashkiria decreased to 1.6%

For February to April 2025, the overall unemployment rate in Bashkiria decreased to 1.6%. This was reported in Ufa, regarding Rosstat, at a meeting with the heads of federal and republican government structures, as well as top managers of large enterprises in the region.

The meeting was held at the instruction of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Volga Federal District, Igor Komarov.

Despite the positive dynamics, the Republican vacancy bank currently contains approximately 40,700 vacancies in various fields, including industry. Thus, the employment service is ready to offer each applicant 4 vacancies, manufacturing enterprises 8, and construction 12.

We remind you that, to provide the Russian economy with the specialists it needs, the national project "Personnel" was launched in 2025. Within this framework, programs to support employers and workers are in effect, and a major modernization of the entire employment service is being completed.

"The President of Russia set a significant and large-scale task for the regions - to increase production capacity, and this is impossible without qualified employees, engineers, and workers. The labor market of the republic has clearly expressed signs of a deficit. The need for workers is high. Therefore, all government agencies, enterprises, and educational institutions need to strengthen cooperation to solve this problem promptly," said Alexey Kasyanov, Chief Federal Inspector for Bashkiria, at the meeting.

The meeting reviewed the situation in the industrial sector of the region, measures to improve working conditions and the social package for employees of enterprises, as well as strategies to attract new labor resources to organizations in the real sector of the economy, including graduates of universities and colleges. Today, educational institutions are demonstrating flexibility and are prepared to adjust their academic programs to meet the needs of enterprises, as noted at the meeting. In turn, industrial companies, to close the deficit of specialists and keep them in production, resort to various personnel selection tools.
