

First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkiria, Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy Rustam Muratov, met with First Deputy Minister of Industry of Belarus, Andrei Konyushko. The parties discussed the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two republics. The meeting took place within the framework of the XII Forum of Regions of Russia and Belarus in Nizhny Novgorod. The press service of the Bashkiria government reported this.
According to Rustam Muratov, enterprises of the two republics cooperate in various sectors of the economy. Key areas of cooperation are mechanical engineering and petrochemistry. In particular, there is successful experience in supplying spring products, as well as catalytic cracking catalysts. Joint projects are also being implemented. The most important joint initiative is the creation of the Russian-Belarusian investment cluster. During the negotiations, the possibility of preferential lending by the Development Bank of Belarus for joint projects was considered.
