Chocolate in Russia has risen in price by 15%

But demand for it has remained stable and even increased slightly.

Even though chocolate and chocolate products have risen in price more than other confectionery, demand for them remains growing, according to data from the Check Index platform.

In May of this year, the average price of a bar was 398 rubles, 15% more than in May 2024. The number of purchases increased by 3% (and by 5% from January to May).

The average price of a box of chocolates was 724 rubles, and the number of purchases decreased by 1%. However, for the period January–May, the number of purchases also increased (+3%), as it is in the first half of the year that Valentine's Day (February 14) and International Women's Day (March 8) are celebrated.

70% of the pieces are milk chocolate.
