The Republic of Bashkortostan has unveiled a new car tourism route, called Pavlovskaya Krugosvetka, which was developed in collaboration with the regional Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Tourism, as well as the companies Rosneft and Bashneft.
The route spans 350 kilometers and is notable for its scenic natural attractions, which are accessible year-round.
As noted by Azamat Galin, Deputy Minister of Entrepreneurship and Tourism of Bashkortostan:
“Our route, the Golden Ring of Bashkiria, was included in the list of exemplary routes in Russia. The main tourist flow comes by car, with visitors arriving from Kazakhstan, the Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk regions, and Perm Krai.”
The Pavlovskaya Krugosvetka route connects key tourist locations in the northeast of Bashkortostan. The journey begins at the Uspensky St. George Monastery for men, known among pilgrims as Svyatye Kustiki (“Holy Bushes”) — a spiritual center with a church and a sacred spring. The route then leads to the Red Cliffs, unique natural formations on the shore of the Pavlovsk Reservoir, the largest in the region. Other highlights include the Krasny Klyuch spring — the most powerful in Russia — and Lake Sarva, a spring-fed lake with crystal-clear water that remains unfrozen even in winter.
Pavlovskaya Krugosvetka is the third tourism project in the region supported by Rosneft. As noted by the company, the development of roadside infrastructure and domestic tourism remains one of its priority areas. This year, 60 million rubles have been allocated to develop car routes and campgrounds in the republic, to enhance the quality of tourism services.
The new route, which combines natural beauty with well-developed infrastructure, has already captured the attention of motorists and bloggers, marking an essential step in promoting Bashkortostan’s tourism potential.
