National Bank reported how lending has changed in Bashkiria

Large businesses have increased their loan volumes, while SMEs and the population have reduced them.

According to the National Bank of Bashkiria, the volume of loans to businesses has increased due to the growth of loans from large companies. In total, from January to April 2025, businesses borrowed 191.5 billion rubles, representing a 3.8% increase from January to April 2024.

At the same time, large businesses account for almost two-thirds of the amount, 112.82 billion rubles, which is 11% more than at the beginning of last year.

Small and medium-sized businesses have reduced lending, as loans are too expensive. In January-April, SMEs borrowed 78.68 billion rubles, which is 5% less than in the same period last year.

The volume of loans to individuals decreased by almost a third to 158.35 billion rubles (-30.6%). This amount includes 133.25 billion consumer loans (-25.2%) and 25.1 billion mortgages (-50%). Mortgages were examined in more detail earlier.

In April, the number of consumer loans received by residents of Bashkiria decreased by 7% compared to March, and the volume decreased by 10%.
