

The index of agricultural production in Bashkortostan at the end of 2024 was 100.8% with the average Russian level of 96.8%. The volume of gross agricultural production in the region was 252 billion rubles, ranking it 9th in Russia and 2nd in the Volga Federal District. These figures were announced by Deputy Prime Minister of the Government and Minister of Agriculture of the region, Ilshat Fazrakhmanov, in his speech at the plenary session of the State Assembly of Bashkortostan.
"About 4 billion 300 million rubles were allocated from the budgets of both levels for direct support of our agricultural producers, of which 2 billion 300 million rubles are funds from the budget of Bashkortostan. I want to note that the Russian Ministry of Agriculture provides significant support to the region's agro-industrial sector. In total, over 9 billion rubles of federal funds were allocated to the republic for direct and indirect support of the agricultural sector in 2024,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.
The crop production industry ensures the growth in agricultural production. According to the 2024 results, the crop production index in Bashkortostan was 103.7%. The volume of crop production according to the results of 2024 amounted to 111.1 billion rubles.
In 2024, more than 3 million tons of grain were harvested in the republic. At the same time, high indicators were achieved for the production of oilseeds, reaching approximately 735 thousand tons, which is 39% more than last year, including sunflower, at 536 thousand tons (124% increase).
The volume of sugar beet production amounted to about 2.6 million tons (151.5%)
Work continues to involve unused agricultural lands in circulation. Over the past year, more than 36,000 hectares of unused arable land were brought into agricultural use. Of these, more than 9 thousand hectares were introduced as part of the implementation of the federal program "Land", for the financing of which 135 million rubles were allocated in 2024 (of which 113.3 million - from the federal budget).
