As noted at the meeting, Bashkiria is a popular tourist destination in the country. Over the past two years alone, approximately 3.7 billion rubles have been allocated for the development of the tourism sector, with 1.5 billion rubles coming from the federal budget under the national project "Tourism and Hospitality".
"Thanks to this work, a comfortable and modern tourism infrastructure is being formed in the region. Today, there are more than 600 collective accommodation facilities in Bashkiria. Over the past five years, the number of rooms has increased by 800 units," emphasized Andrey Nazarov, Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkiria.
Meanwhile, a new format of tourism is rapidly gaining popularity in the region - glamping holidays. So, if in 2020 there were only five glamping sites in Bashkiria, today there are already more than 120. Moreover, 110 of them are intended for year-round accommodation.
"The summer period is traditionally the peak period for tourist flow. There is already an increased demand for bookings in glamping, especially on weekends and holidays," added the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Tourism of the Republic of Bashkiria, Zukhra Gordienko.
By the beginning of the season, 59 officially approved routes have been prepared in the region, and a comprehensive calendar has been developed, featuring 61 major events across various focus areas. Particular attention will be paid to the safety of tourists and the quality of services provided. It is also important that a new mechanism of state control has been launched in the tourism sector. This will reduce illegal business and improve the quality of services provided. In addition, Bashkiria will continue to work on classifying hotels and other places of accommodation, as well as certifying tour guides, interpreters, and instructors.
Following the meeting, Andrey Nazarov instructed the administrations of the Arkhangelsk, Baltachevsky, Meleuzovsky districts, and Kumertau to ensure the timely implementation of investment projects with state support in the tourism sector. In turn, the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Tourism should develop a program for the tourism industry's development, with a projected timeline extending to 2030. The program should serve as a roadmap for the development of tourism in the region, taking into account modern trends in tourism, the needs of tourists, and the capabilities of the republic.
