Bashkiria retains 3rd place in national investment rating

On June 20, as part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a presentation of the National Investment Rating results in Russia's regions was held. The rating is annually compiled by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) based on a survey of entrepreneurs.

Based on the results of 2024, Bashkortostan, along with the Moscow Region, took third place, retaining its position from the previous year. Moscow took the top spot in the rating, with Nizhny Novgorod and Tatarstan sharing the second position.

Recall that the republic started in the rating at 40th place in 2014. A year later, Bashkiria entered the Top 20 and moved into the top ten based on the results of 2019, taking ninth place in the rating. According to the results of 2020 and 2021, the republic occupied the fifth place in the rating. In 2022, as presented at SPIEF-2023, Bashkiria rose to fourth place for the first time, sharing it with the Tula and Sakhalin regions. According to the 2023 results, Bashkortostan, along with the Moscow and Tyumen regions, took third place, improving its indicator by one position.

The list of priority investment projects comprises 386 projects with a planned investment volume of 877.9 billion rubles and the creation of 30,200 new jobs.

Since October 2018, a total of 172 meetings of the republic's investment committee have been held in the "Investment Hour" format, during which 730 investment projects with a total investment volume exceeding 1.2 trillion rubles have been considered.
