On June 19, at the XXVIII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Radiy Khabirov, the Head of Bashkortostan, met with Dmitry Yadrov, the Head of the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia). The parties discussed the development of airfield infrastructure, as well as air transportation from the capital of the republic.
Recall that Russian President Vladimir Putin set the task of increasing the aviation mobility of the population by 1.5 times by 2030 compared to the 2023 level. In this regard, 75 airports in the country need to be updated. Among them is the air gate of Ufa.
"The reconstruction of the airfield infrastructure is planned for 2028. Federal funds are allocated for these purposes. Ufa has good potential for growth in passenger traffic. This summer, I plan to visit the capital of Bashkortostan. During the visit, we will assess the condition of the runway, other facilities, and make a final decision on the schedule and scope of work," said Dmitry Yadrov.
