On June 19, at the site of the XXVIII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, an agreement of intent was signed between the government of Bashkortostan and the company "Romex-Kuban". The document was signed by Radiy Khabirov, Head of the Republic, and Alexey Prokopenko, President of the company.
"Earlier, the company had already built a large logistics center, OZON, in Bashkortostan. They came with one project, but seeing that everything works like clockwork here, with support measures in place, they decided to build another large facility. The new project is planned to be implemented in the Ufa region, with a cost exceeding 18 billion rubles. I think that we will start construction next year,” said Radiy Khabirov.
The head of Bashkortostan emphasized the importance of investment projects for the region's economic development.
“Considering the active growth of online trade, we see how important a role marketplaces play. Large logistics centers pull small and medium businesses along with them, because entrepreneurs become suppliers of goods,” Radiy Khabirov emphasized.
In November 2024, the Romex-Kuban company completed the construction of a logistics center for OZON. In May 2025, at the Investment Hour in Ufa, it presented the concept for constructing a logistics park in the village of Bulgakovo, Ufa District. The project received priority status.
Alexey Prokopenko highly appreciated the effectiveness of interaction with the region and expressed interest in developing the company's activities in Bashkortostan.
“We plan to continue cooperation with the republic. The region is ready to provide us with an additional land plot, which will expand the logistics infrastructure. We feel comfortable working here – we feel significant support from the authorities,” noted Alexey Prokopenko.
