Passenger traffic on "City Electric Train" extended route has increased
Over the first five months of 2025, suburban trains of the "City Electric Train" within the Ufa agglomeration, along the route Dema - Ufa - Iglino, transported 1,100,000 passengers, which is 14% higher than the same period in 2024, BPPK reports.
From the Iglino station, a 1.7-fold increase in the number of passengers is recorded - 170 thousand people against 106 thousand in 2024 (more than 1,000 people daily, compared to 700 people in 2024).
Currently, 53 suburban trains run within the Ufa agglomeration, including 42 daily, 8 on weekdays, and 3 on weekends, of which 25 routes are served by modern rolling stock, such as the "Finist" and "Lastochka".
Since January 1 of this year, the border of the Ufa agglomeration has been expanded to Iglino station with the introduction of a single tariff on the Dema-Iglino section.
