Sowing campaign is almost complete in Bashkiria

Spring sowing in the republic is almost complete, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture of Bashkiria Ilshat Fazrakhmanov reported at an operational meeting of the government.

In general, over 2 million hectares of arable land have been sown in the region as of June 9, or 97% of the spring crop sowing plan, including grain and leguminous crops planted on an area of ​​over 1.2 million hectares (94% of the planned).

This year, the leaders in terms of sown areas with grain and leguminous crops are the Baymaksky, Sterlitamaksky, Ilishevsky, Khaibullinsky, and Meleuzovsky districts, as specified by Ilshat Fazrakhmanov.

596 thousand hectares (102% of the plan) have been sown with oilseeds in the region. The largest area for sowing oilseeds was allocated in Kuyurgazinsky, Sterlitamaksky, Alsheevsky, and Aurgazinsky districts.

More than 43 thousand hectares were sown with sugar beets, while the plan was 45.9 thousand hectares. Here, the leaders are the farms of Blagovarsky, Alsheevsky, Chishminsky, Kushnarenkovsky, and Chekmagushevsky districts. The share of these districts accounts for approximately 77% of the total area of ​​sugar beet crops.

Forage crops were sown on an area of ​​150 thousand hectares.

The sowing area for ​​winter crops in 2025 was 254.2 thousand hectares.

"If weather conditions permit, we plan to complete the planned sowing of spring crops - buckwheat, millet, sorghum, and mustard - by June 15," summed up Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture of Bashkortostan Ilshat Fazrakhmanov.
