Since the beginning of the year, Bashkiria has exported 1,032 tons of leguminous and forage crop seeds for sowing to countries in the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union, prepared by the region's seed farms for export abroad. This was reported by the press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for the Republic of Bashkiria.
Belarus, Germany, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan purchased seeds of vetch, sweet clover, goat's rue, awnless brome, wheat, phacelia, sainfoin, and barley in Bashkiria.
All batches of seed material underwent entomological and herbological studies at the Bashkir Testing Laboratory, a subordinate agency of Rosselkhoznadzor, before being shipped to foreign counterparts. According to the results of phytosanitary examinations, quarantine organisms were not detected, and the seeds meet the quarantine phytosanitary requirements of the importing countries. "The high quality, resistance to drought, diseases, and productivity of forage crops from Bashkiria are well known far beyond the region and the country, including abroad," the supervisory agency noted.
