At the final board meeting of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, Vladimir Kashin, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Agrarian Issues, highly praised Bashkiria's achievements in animal husbandry, specifically its third place in the country in terms of milk production and cattle numbers.
"Bashkiria occupies a leading position in our country in milk production. And many of our governors should follow their example," Vladimir Kashin said, emphasizing that the region's success is the result of systematic work.
According to data from open sources (Rosstat, the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, and the media), Bashkortostan is traditionally among the top five regions in terms of milk production, along with Krasnodar Krai and Tatarstan. In 2022, Bashkiria ranked second in milk production across all farm categories. Also among the most "dairy" regions of the country are the Altai Territory, Voronezh, Rostov Regions, the Republics of Dagestan and Udmurtia.
