Prices for socially significant products will continue to restrain in Bashkiria

The memorandum limiting the margin on socially significant products in Bashkiria is approved at not more than 15% of the entrance price. At a government meeting, the Minister of Trade and Services of the Republic, Azat Askarov, announced this. He said work is underway with retail chains to join the memorandum. Prices in municipalities are monitored weekly.

According to the Ministry of Trade, in the first quarter, retail turnover increased by 8.9% in comparable prices (in the Russian Federation—by 1.1%, in the Volga Federal District—by 5%) and amounted to 401.8 billion rubles. This indicator shows that the republic steadily ranks 8th among the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and 2nd in the Volga Federal District.

More than 32 thousand trade objects work in the republic, twice as many as the minimum standard.

Over the past four years, the number of non-stationary trading facilities has increased by 15%, from 6.5 thousand to 7.5 thousand units. Low-format trade fills the niche of walking accessories and plays an important role in the trade infrastructure, the minister said.
