Inflation has decreased for first time since last year in Bashkiria
For the first time since October 2024, the inflation rate has decreased in Bashkiria. According to Bashstat, annual inflation was 9.55% in April, which is 0.36% lower than in March.
According to statistics, in April, food and services increased in price by 0.4%, while industrial goods fell in price by 0.14%. In the food segment, the largest price increase was noted for potatoes, carrots, beets, cabbage, and onions, which increased in price by 14.5-17.3%. Price reductions are recorded for bananas, pears, and oranges.
The Bank of Russia maintains a high key rate to ensure steady inflation decrease. This helps to cool lending and support people's savings activity. According to the regulator's forecasts, annual inflation in the country will drop to 4% in 2026.
