First digital substation without duty personnel was opened in Bashkiria

At the opening of the 3rd international exhibition "Gas. Oil. Technologies" in Ufa, the first automated digital substation in the republic was launched via teleconference. ANK Bashneft (part of Rosneft) put the Mirnaya substation into operation without duty personnel.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, Sergey Evgenievich Tsivilev, the head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Radiy Faritovich Khabirov, and Deputy General Director of PJSC ANK Bashneft for oil and gas production, Viktor Ivanovich Solovykh. The high-voltage substation (110 kV) receives, converts, and transmits electricity, ensuring a stable power supply to more than 470 oil-producing wells and five extensive production facilities, including an oil terminal and installations for maintaining reservoir pressure and primary oil purification.

All processes at the substation are automated, and the equipment does not require the constant presence of personnel, which reduces operating costs by more than 40%. The substation equipment is manufactured in Russia.

The facility is controlled remotely from the control center of the Arlan oil and Gas producing region. Operators monitor the system's operation and equipment loading in real time.

"If we talk about the petrochemical industry, the energy sector is, of course, the basis of the economy of our republic. Today, taking this opportunity to thank the heads of enterprises in this sector sincerely, we are living in tough times, but the enterprises are developing thanks to your and your team's work. "They are not just surviving, they have maintained their production modernization programs, they continue investment projects, and thank you very much for this," commented the opening of the digital substation at the exhibition "Gas. Gas. Technologies -Gas25" Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov.

The Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, Sergey Tsivilev, who was present at the launch ceremony, noted: "Bashkortostan is the most important industrial center of our country—the most important center for the fuel and energy complex of the Russian Federation. I am happy that so many representatives of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and international participants came to the specialized exhibition. We are facing a huge challenge in building a different country. Our President, V.V. Putin, has set us a task - for our country to take a worthy place in the new world. A world that will be based on relations of justice, mutual benefit, and friendship. Together we must build a new, modern electric power industry of Russia, based on the highest technologies." The launch of Mirnaya marked the beginning of the implementation of a large-scale pilot project of Rosneft in Bashkortostan to create a Digital District of Electric Grids - a complex of highly automated substations united by a single control center.
