At a meeting of the State Assembly of Bashkiria committee, the revenue to municipalities' budgets from the tourist tax introduced in their territories was announced. According to the information of the First Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Bashkiria, Natalia Kalugina, in 2025, the amount of such revenue was 20 million rubles, with an annual plan of 12.5 million.
The Abzelilovsky district received the largest income from the tourist tax, 6 million rubles. Revenues to the budget of the Beloretsky district amounted to 5 million rubles, Salavatsky—4 million, and the Belebeevsky and Askinsky districts received more than 1 million rubles.
As Natalia Kalugina noted, such financial revenues are very significant for many rural areas.
Since January 1, 2025, local governments can introduce a tourist tax. They have the right to establish and differentiate rates and expand the list of benefits established by the Tax Code of the Russian Federation. The payers of the tourist tax are classified accommodation facilities (hotels, hostels, etc.) included in the Register of Classified Accommodation Facilities maintained by Rosaccreditation. The tax rate in 2025 is 1% of the accommodation cost, but not less than 100 rubles per day. Then it will gradually increase: in 2026 - 2%, in 2027 - 3%, in 2028 - 4%, in 2029 - 5%.
According to the Federal Tax Service of the Republic of Bashkortostan, at the beginning of this year, 230 local governments, including 221 rural settlements, 1 municipal district, 5 urban settlements, and 3 urban districts, decided to introduce a tourist tax out of 895 municipalities of the republic.
Abstained from making decisions on introducing a tourist tax from January 1, 2025, 665 municipalities, including Ufa. During the year, local governments may introduce a tourist tax.
