Bashkiria's agro-industrial complex production increased by 8.5%

Bashkiria has increased the production of agro-industrial complex products. The regional agro-industrial complex production index in the first quarter of 2025 amounted to 108.5% compared to last year, the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture reported.

"The indicator was formed based on the production volumes of agricultural products, food industry, and beverages for January-March. It clearly shows the level of development of food production in the republic at all stages. From the field, farm to the shelves," explained Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Bashkiria, Ilshat Fazrakhmanov.

The volume of agricultural production in the first quarter of 2025 amounted to 33.8 billion rubles (index—101.6%), food products—42.6 billion rubles (index—113.9%), and beverages—8 billion rubles (index—110.5%).

Experts attribute the significant growth in food production in Bashkiria to implementing a special regional program. Thanks to it, food producers can compensate 40% of the costs of purchasing new equipment and machinery. Thus, in the first three years of the food and processing industry development program, enterprises were allocated 250 million rubles from the republican budget.
