Demand for glamping rentals in Bashkiria rises during May holidays

According to data from the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, the number of glamping sites available for booking across the country has increased 2.1 times over the past year. The largest number of such properties is in the Moscow Region (27% of the national total), Sverdlovsk Region (7%), Tatarstan (6%), and Bashkortostan, Leningrad Region, and Krasnodar Territory (4% each). Year over year, the supply of glamping has grown in all regions of the ranking. The most noticeable growth was observed in Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, and Voronezh Region (2.6 times in each).

“Modular hotels and glamping sites are among the most popular accommodation formats chosen by tourists. At the same time, their occupancy remains consistently high, reaching nearly 100% in tourist-favored locations during the summer months, according to the Glamping Association. The increase in the number of glampings is directly linked to the support measures of the national project ‘Tourism and Hospitality.’ Under the modular hotel construction program, around 13,000 accommodations have already been built across more than 60 regions of the country. As part of a new selection process, we plan to support the creation of another 10,000 accommodations, which will be completed by the end of 2027,” said Alimbek Khidzev, Director of the Tourism Development Department at the Russian Ministry of Economic Development.

On average, Russians plan to stay in glampings for two nights during the May holidays. Longer stays are expected in Krasnoyarsk Territory, Tatarstan, and Bashkortostan (three nights in each case). The average number of guests across Russia is four people.

Earlier, it was reported that a plot of land in Bashkiria was allocated without bidding to construct a year-round glamping park.
