Farmers in 42 districts have begun sowing spring crops, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Bashkortostan reports.
As of this date in 2024, 46 districts have begun sowing. Spring sowing has been carried out on an area of 114,000 hectares, which is 5.7% of the plan. As of April 26, about 138 thousand hectares or 7% of the plan have been sown (the plan is 2071.6 thousand hectares),
Spring grains and legumes (wheat, oats, barley, corn for grain) have been sown on an area of 86 thousand hectares (7% of the plan, the plan is 1283.9 thousand hectares), oilseeds (sunflower and flax) - 44 thousand hectares (8% of the plan, the plan is 582.8 thousand hectares), forage crops - 5 thousand 200 hectares (3.3% of the plan, the plan is 156.4 thousand hectares).
Also, in 4 districts (Alsheevsky, Blagovarsky, Chishminsky, Kushnarenkovsky), they have started sowing sugar beets. As of the current date, about 3,000 hectares have been planted (6.5% of the total), with a planned area of 46.2 thousand hectares.
