Students can use single card for travel and buffet in Bashkortostan

Students in Bashkortostan will be able to use a multifunctional card for travel on public transport and food in a buffet. In Ufa, at the "Transport Hour" meeting, the development of the "Alga" fare payment system was discussed.

At the meeting, they said that the Schoolchild Card provides additional opportunities. In addition to paying for travel, it acts as a pass to an educational institution and allows you to visit the school buffet. In total, such cards are accepted in 179 buffets in Bashkortostan.

At the meeting, they proposed introducing a similar system for using multifunctional cards in the Interuniversity Student Campus. The head of the republic supported this initiative.

Minister of Digital Development of Public Administration in the Republic reported that since 2019, more than 2.5 million cards with the "Alga" application have been issued in the region. Among them are 976,000 transport cards, 743,000 school cards, as well as unified social travel tickets.

In the structure of travel payments, the transport card ranks first, with a share of 46%. In second place is travel by bank card, with an indicator of 25%. Then comes the unified social travel ticket and the School Card.

“It is necessary to note the good dynamics of the project’s development. The advantages of the transport card include lower fares and the opportunity to take advantage of the “Happy Hour” promotion, which allows passengers to transfer to other public transport routes for free within an hour after their first trip. In total, during the promotion, passengers saved 758.5 ​​million rubles,” said Gennady Razumikin.
