The number of international flights from Ufa Airport has increased. At the next "Transport Hour" session, held by the Head of Bashkortostan, issues related to developing passenger transportation on various types of public transport were discussed.
The Minister of Transport and Road Facilities of the Republic, Lyubov Minakova, spoke about expanding the geography of international air transportation from Ufa International Airport. According to her, passenger traffic is showing growth. Thus, in the summer of 2025, flights to 18 destinations are planned from the region's capital, including CIS countries and neighboring countries such as Uzbekistan, Armenia, Tajikistan, Belarus, and Georgia. Flights will also be operated to the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Turkey, and Thailand. Since March 23, a new route from Ufa to Sanya, China, has been opened and is served by Aeroflot. From April 29, Red Wings Airlines will launch two flights a week to Istanbul, and from June 1, UTair will add one flight a week in this direction. Ufa-Minsk flights continue to operate. In 2025, flights to the capital of Belarus started on March 24. In the first two weeks, four flights were carried out, transporting 706 passengers.
The republic is also working on launching a second flight to Minsk. The head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, instructed to work out proposals for new routes, including to Sukhum (Abkhazia).
