During a working visit to the Karmaskalinsky District, Radiy Khabirov, the Head of Bashkortostan, visited the construction site of the Urozhai agricultural enterprise's selection and seed production center. The head of the region became acquainted with the progress of the project to build the largest grain elevator in Bashkortostan, capable of storing 120,000 tons of grain.
The initiative to create a selection and seed production center in the Karmaskalinsky District was approved in January 2025. As a support measure, the project received priority status with compensation for part of the costs of building engineering and transport infrastructure.
During the inspection of the site, the General Director of the Urozhai agricultural enterprise Radik Rafikov said that since May last year, the foundation for the receiving point, cleaning, drying of silos and storage of seeds has been installed at the site, and the installation of structures and equipment has begun. The total investment volume is estimated at 2.6 billion rubles. The launch of the center will create more than 40 new jobs.
The head of the region noted the importance of developing additional capacities for storing and processing grain in the republic.
"Three years ago, Bashkortostan had an excellent harvest - 5 million tons of grain. Then we realized that it was necessary to ensure the storage of such volumes. Now, the Urozhai group of companies is building the largest elevator in the republic in the Karmaskalinsky district. This will allow processing and storing significant volumes of grain. Crop farms and large dairy farms are successfully operating in the republic. The region is ready to support new industry projects - we have measures to support such initiatives," said Radiy Khabirov.
