Ufa agglomeration will transport 6.5 million passengers in 2030

The development of roads in the Ufa agglomeration will increase passenger traffic to 6.5 million trips by 2030, the Prime Minister of Bashkortostan Andrey Nazarov announced at a government meeting.

According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, the modernization of roads and railways will attract more than 18 billion rubles of extra-budgetary investments to the republic's economy and create more than 6,000 jobs.

One of the largest projects is the Southern Railway Bypass of Ufa. It plans to build the missing sections of the second continuous railway track from Dema to Iglino. The feasibility study for the project has been developed.

Repairing emergency bridges and constructing new ones will also improve transport communications in the Ufa agglomeration. Thus, the Shakshinsky Bridge underwent a major overhaul last year, and its commissioning is scheduled for June of this year.

Major repairs are ongoing to the arch bridge on the line of Vorovskogo Street. It is currently 70% complete. The arch bridge's opening is planned for the third quarter of this year.
