In Bashkiria, the number of self-employed people has increased by 6% since the beginning of the year, and the number of small and medium-sized businesses has increased by 1.5%. Municipal business sheriffs played a major role in improving the investment climate, the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Tourism of the Republic of Bashkiria Zukhra Gordiyenko reported at an operational meeting of the government.
The leading indicator for assessing the work of business sheriffs is the number of completed projects. The minister reported that the average result is 50%, naming Ufa, Sibay, Neftekamsk, Kumertau, Karmaskalinsky, Buraevsky, and Uchalinsky districts among the leaders.
As reported at the department's board meeting on last year's results, the number of SMEs in Bashkiria at the beginning of 2025 was 142 thousand—2 thousand more than the plan. By the end of this year, the number is planned to increase to 145 thousand.
