The results of the urban environment quality index for 2024 have been summarized in Russia. Among the million-plus cities, Ufa took 5th place, scoring 251 points, 31 more than in 2023, the city administration reports.
The Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation forms the index. When calculating it, 36 indicators of urban environment quality are assessed, including housing, public and business, social and leisure infrastructure, etc. The capital of Bashkortostan showed positive dynamics in many indicators, particularly landscaping, the state of the street and road network, and the development of citywide spaces.
“This is the result of our coordinated work, the personal contribution and initiative of residents, and the support of the republic’s leadership. The task for this year is to keep up the pace and continue improving in all areas,” said Ufa Mayor Ratmir Mavliev on his social media.
