The first enterprises have begun fieldwork in Bashkiria. Several farms in the Sterlitamak and Ilishevsky districts have begun fertilizing winter grain crops and perennial grasses with mineral fertilizers. The new field season starts with this agricultural measure. The next stage is closing the moisture in the fields, after which the sowing is carried out, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Bashkiria reported. Thus, fieldwork this year began 2-3 weeks earlier than the average for many years. The flood was ahead of the "norm" by the same amount.
In total, 1.58 million hectares of grain crops are planned, and the area with industrial crops will be about 607,000 hectares.
248 thousand hectares of winter grain were sown for the current year's harvest. It was reported that more than 90% of winter crops survived the winter in good (128.7 thousand hectares) and satisfactory (97.1 thousand hectares) conditions.
