Prime Minister of Bashkortostan spoke about plans for sowing

Prime Minister of Bashkortostan Andrey Nazarov discussed sowing plans. According to him, the republic's farmers plan to sow more than 2.2 million hectares this spring, which corresponds to last year's level. Cereal crops will occupy more than 1.58 million hectares. At the same time, work is underway to prepare the seed fund and accumulate mineral fertilizers, plant protection products, fuels, and lubricants necessary for successful sowing.

"248.2 thousand hectares of winter crops have been sown for the 2025 harvest. Although meteorological conditions in most areas were unfavorable due to frequent thaws, 92% of crops are in good and satisfactory condition, and no death of winter crops has been recorded. Of course, the conclusions about the condition of the fields will be made when the snow melts completely, but the forecasts are still optimistic,” he wrote on his social networks.

He also noted that the republic continues to help farmers purchase equipment and machinery. Last year, about 2.4 thousand equipment units were purchased for almost 11 billion rubles. Five large projects with investors are also being implemented.

“We are strengthening the position of Bashkortostan as one of the leading agricultural regions of Russia from year to year. Everyone knows the last two harvesting campaigns occurred in difficult weather conditions. Nevertheless, in 2024, we collected more than 2.5 million tons of sugar beet and 730 thousand tons of oilseeds. These are record figures for our republic. Unfortunately, high results are not provided in all positions, but we will try to compensate for lost time this season. I am confident that, as in previous years, our rural workers will not let us down, and we will meet in autumn with high yields. All the conditions for this are in place,” he added.
