

According to the Avtostat agency, in February 2025, Russians purchased 25% fewer new cars than a year earlier—only 78,040 cars.
Almost a third were AvtoVAZ products, and their share has grown by 3% over the year. In quantitative terms, this is 24.6 thousand units, of which Lada Granta is in first place in sales — 9.51 thousand.
Haval slightly surpassed Granta. This Chinese brand sold 9.57 thousand cars in February. Chery is close to this result, with 8.4 thousand units sold.
The secondary market is much larger and shrinking nominally: in February, Russians bought 397.1 thousand used cars — only 0.6% less than a year earlier.
Lada has become the most common brand here, taking up almost a quarter of sales: 106 thousand. Of these, 9.8 thousand are VAZ-2107.
In 2nd place in terms of used cars sold in February is Toyota (39.1 thousand), followed by Kia and Hyundai (21.1 thousand and 20.7 thousand).
