First Russian mobile communications station was launched in Bashkiria

The first Russian-made mobile communications base "Irtea" was launched in Bashkiria. The station was installed in the village of Chuyunchi-Nikolaevka in the Davlekanovsky district, which has a population of over 500 people, the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Republic of Bashkiria reported.

The operator plans to launch 14 more such stations in the region. They will appear in Buzdyaksky, Zianchurinsky, Tatyshlinsky, Miyakinsky, Sterlibashevsky, Baymaksky, Arkhangelsky, Duvansky, Dyurtyulinsky, Ermekeyevsky, Karaidelsky and Ishimbaysky districts. The equipment was developed and manufactured by the Russian telecom vendor OOO "Irtea", 50% of the shares of this company belong to PJSC "MTS".

"The gradual transition of telecom operators to domestic equipment will increase the reliability of telecommunications and the Internet. “Import substitution of base stations is an important step towards technological sovereignty and ensuring security,” said the head of the regional department Gennady Razumikin.

The mobile communications supplier company announced that one of the country's largest batches of Irtea base stations is being launched in Bashkiria.
