

The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, held another "Transport Hour" session in the House of the Republic. The agenda included developing passenger transportation on various types of public transport.
The General Director of Ufa International Airport, Alexander Andreev, reported that passenger traffic amounted to 4.8 million people in 2024. At the end of the year, the airport won the national award "Air Gates of Russia" in the nomination "Best Airport with a Passenger Traffic of Up to 2 to 6 Million People Per Year."
"In the total transportation volume, 83% are domestic flights with 3.9 million passengers. Last year, direct flights from Ufa to Kemerovo, Novokuznetsk, Saratov and Tobolsk were opened, and flights to Kaliningrad were resumed," - said Alexander Andreev.
This year, air service with Gorno-Altaisk will be launched. More than 45 daily flights to 43 domestic destinations are planned for the summer season.
In addition, during the summer, more than 10 daily flights depart from Ufa to 18 countries, including Armenia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, China, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Thailand, and Georgia.
The head of Bashkortostan thanked the staff of the Ufa International Airport for their active work in expanding the route network and instructed the regional Ministry of Transport to analyze the airport's proposals to launch new flights, including to subsidized destinations.
