Young farmer breeds horses with "Agrostartup" in Bashkiria

Young entrepreneur Fail Altapov from the Ilishevsky district is developing a farming business with state support. Now, he has 36 horses, more than 10 bulls, two tractors with the necessary equipment, and trucks. He is engaged in crop production, breeding, and training thoroughbred English horses for competitions.

As the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Bashkortostan reported, Fail Altapov became interested in horses early, having seen the races at Sabantuy. Later, he got on a horse and participated in many competitions.

In 2024, Altapov proposed his horse breeding project at the district administration's "Entrepreneurial Hour" and received a grant of 4.5 million rubles under the "Agrostartup" program. With these funds, he purchased 14 Russian heavy draft horses and equipment.

"Although the region is the country's leader in horse population, this area continues to develop in the republic. We have traditions and competencies in horse breeding, and our farmers often choose it when implementing new projects," commented Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Bashkortostan Ilshat Fazrakhmanov.
