Today, a new enterprise, the Territory of Electric Transport Development MAZ—UTTZ, was registered in Ufa. The Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, received representatives of the Minsk Automobile Plant and the Ufa Tram and Trolleybus Plant. He noted that if UTTZ had assembled a few electric vehicles earlier, Ufa trolleybuses would now have occupied 40% of the Russian market. Over two years of work, 700 trolleybuses have already been jointly produced.
The new project's investments are expected to be around 1.6 billion rubles. The new production complex, constructed over two years, will be next to the Ufimsky Industrial Park within the Alga SEZ.
