Russia introduces labeling for chips, cosmetics and motor oils

The Russian government has expanded the list of products subject to mandatory labeling in the Honest Sign system. The innovations will affect various products, from groceries to building materials.

From March 1, 2025, labeling will become mandatory for groceries:

- spices, seasonings, sauces,

- chips, nachos, croutons,

- croutons, corn sticks, crispbread,

- spices, ready-made popcorn,

- dry broths, soups, varieties of dry vinegar, and other products are in consumer packaging.

Also, from March 1, the system includes cosmetics, household chemicals and motor oils:

— soap, detergents,

— deodorants, hair and shaving products, toothpaste,

— makeup and skin care products,

— automotive fluids: oils, antifreeze, brake fluids, anti-corrosion coatings.

From September 1, the labeling applies to:

— building materials: gypsum, dry mixes, mounting foams, Portland cement, lime, sealants, putties, mastics and other building materials in consumer packaging,

— children's goods: dolls, scooters, pedal cars, strollers for dolls, dolls, sets of electric racing cars for competitive games, puzzles and other goods for children under 14;

— milk drinks with fruit additives.
