The press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for the region reported that in January 2025, Bashkiria's agricultural producers exported 148 tons of seeds of grain and forage crops, including sweet clover, phacelia, sainfoin, and barley, to the countries of the Customs Union.
Samples of the seed material were tested in the Bashkir testing laboratory, which is subordinate to Rosselkhoznadzor.
"According to the results of phytosanitary examinations, quarantine organisms were undetected. All shipped products comply with the quarantine phytosanitary requirements of the importing countries: Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan," the supervisory agency noted.
In 2024, Bashkiria increased its export of seeds for sowing by 1.5 times compared to 2023. Last year, 5,003 tons of grain, leguminous, forage, and oilseed seeds were shipped abroad.
