Historic house is put up for sale for 1 ruble in Ufa

In Ufa, a cultural heritage site of regional significance, the "Southern House of the Sudakov Estate," located on Aksakov Street, is being auctioned off at a starting price of 1 ruble. The relevant information is posted on the city administration's Internet resources.

The one-story brick building, which covers an area of ​​159.8 square meters, was built at the beginning of the 20th century. 

According to the city authorities, there are 56 separate cultural heritage sites in municipal ownership on the territory of the republic's capital. Ufa Mayor Ratmir Mavliev has repeatedly noted that this issue requires special attention. The priority direction in their preservation and adaptation for modern use is transferred to private investors through an open auction procedure. A purchase and sale agreement is concluded with the winners with the condition of designing and restoring the cultural heritage site. Preservation activities are carried out at the expense of extra-budgetary funds. As the city administration states, the highly competitive situation with many applicants that arise during such tenders indicates the attractiveness of these objects for doing business after their restoration.
